“Global Citizen, Global Nursing” was the title and theme of this year’s ICN conference. Mary Bosnan, IADNAM’s President, was both delighted and honoured that she was able to attend and represent our organization at such an esteemed and noteworthy event. What she learnt  there illustrated the universality of some of the challenges we as directors of nursing and midwifery face here in Ireland and she returned home with a renewed sense of the purpose and determination regarding the role nursing must play on the political stage, both nationally and internationally.
